Since 1947 it has been claimed that UFOs/flying saucers are evidence of aliens visiting the Earth. Since the 1950s claims of encounters with landed craft and alien beings were talked about but not taken seriously.
In the 1960s the subject of UFO abduction was a "slow-burner" until the whole "Grey" abduction phenomenon and claims made by researchers such as Budd Hopkins, Prof. John Mack and Dr David Jacobs and Whitley Streiber.
But is there evidence to back up any of the claims -and what about those encountering Alien Entities but who were not abducted?
Are these people all hoaxers, psychotic or suffering from some other mental illness as some claim?
Are those people who were exposed by Ufologists against their wishes, people who wanted to report what happened and then just get back to their everyday lives -thrust into the media glare against their will?
And if US authorities were so interested that in one case at least they broke into the home of two abductees and this was later proven -why?
Why did a hard core of these people never want publicity or to make money from what happened to them?
Above all, why did a major UFO landing incident take place on a US Inbterstate road in front of a large number of observers (all willing to talk to investigators) never get investigated? If it were not for a radio presenter interviewing and taking notes we would know nothing of the case -it would be labelled "insubstantial".
James and Coral Lorensen -the Scopolamine Kids; using a very notorious "truth drug" on alleged UFO witnesses and selling stories to newspapers. An investigator (a veteran) showing a witness images of "aliens" encountered in other cases before any memories were retrieved. Worst of all, the constant "pissing competition" and breaches of trust between UFO investigators.
2017 is the time to assess the past evidence and look at the faults within Ufology.
Not everyone is going to be happy -debunkers or ufologists.
Praised by Dr Mark Rodheiger of the Centre for UFO Studies and, below, John Hanson of the Haunted Skies Project and Colonel Charles Halt the officer involved in the Rendlesham incident.

The Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) says that we may have to wait many thousands of years before any signals sent gets a response if they are detected.
Once the mass of reports of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and entity encounters are sifted there remains a strong core of cases that defy logical explanation and suggest that these encounters have resulted in physiological effects and post traumatic stress.
Have the serious investigators and researchers looking into UFOs been unearthing better evidence of extra terrestrial life and contact with humans than established SETI ?
NASA funds major new search for signs of life elsewhere in the universe
Article by Andrew Griffin of The Independent. My comments follow:
Nasa is funding a major new search for alien life elsewhere in the universe.
The project – which is being run by scientists at Harvard and the University of Rochester – will scan the skies for signs of life known as technosignatures. Those are indications of alien technologies, which would be revealed to us either on purpose or by accident.
The research is the first time in three decades that Nasa has given a grant to look for intelligent life elsewhere in the universe, and the first time it has ever tried to do so without looking for radio technosignatures.
Researchers believe that while life elsewhere in the universe may look very different, it is likely to be identifiable by similar signatures as those given off by life on Earth. As such, they hope that they will be able to spot indications that alien civilisations elsewhere are using the kind of technology we are already using, or could theoretically use in the future.
"Technosignatures relate to signatures of advanced alien technologies similar to, or perhaps more sophisticated than, what we possess," said Avi Loeb, Frank B. Baird Jr. Professor of Science at Harvard. "Such signatures might include industrial pollution of atmospheres, city lights, photovoltaic cells (solar panels), megastructures, or swarms of satellites."
Astronomers believe that the search could have more success than in the past because humanity has made great strides in finding worlds elsewhere in the universe, and understanding whether they could serve as home to life elsewhere. With those discoveries, researchers should now be able to know more accurately where they should be looking.
"The Search for Extraterrestrial Intelligence (SETI) has always faced the challenge of figuring out where to look. Which stars do you point your telescope at and look for signals?" said Adam Frank, a professor of physics and astronomy at the University of Rochester, and the primary recipient of the grant. "Now we know where to look. We have thousands of exoplanets including planets in the habitable zone where life can form. The game has changed."
At first, the researchers will look for two main signatures: solar panels, and pollutants. Both represent key and identifiable ways that humanity has changed the Earth, and so any alien civilisation might do the same.
It is likely that other civilisations would look to harness the energy of their sun as they look for new ways to power their technology, for instance. If that was done in the form of solar panels, we might be able to see reflections being sent through the universe.
"The nearest star to Earth, Proxima Centauri, hosts a habitable planet, Proxima b. The planet is thought to be tidally locked with permanent day and night sides," said Loeb. "If a civilization wants to illuminate or warm up the night side, they would place photovoltaic cells on the day side and transfer the electric power gained to the night side."
Likewise, the chemicals released as any alien civilisation builds its infrastructure is likely to be possible to pick up. By looking for chemicals that are unlikely to be produced naturally, we might be able to see that sign across the universe." End
The problem of "solar panels sending their reflections thoughout the universe" is that you are using the universe as your sandbox. Chris Baraniuk in a post on BBC Earth on 13th June 2016 gave this quote: http://www.bbc.co.uk/earth/story/20160610-it-took-centuries-but-we-now-know-the-size-of-the-universe#:~:text=Today%20we%20are%20fairly%20confident,billion%20light%20years%20in%20diameter.
"Today we are fairly confident that the Milky Way is probably between 100,000 and 150,000 light years across. The observable Universe is, of course, much larger. According to current thinking it is about 93 billion light years in diameter"
In 40 years time we will -or you might- hear "We've not found anything yet but...."
Firstly, what if an extra terrestrial civilisation does not want to light up its planet at night? If they do it may well be that they have power sources we cannot imagine and use those to light up any cities or areas it needs to. Don't get me wrong; it is one thing to look for and after all but what if they detect "something" because as most prominent astronomers like to say as part of their mantra:"It's anything but aliens" Odd signals: "It's anything but aliens".
My favourite part of this is: "...the chemicals released as any alien civilisation builds its infrastructure is likely to be possible to pick up" which means that if you are very -VERY- lucky and everything is just about "peachy" they might possibly detect the chemicals. But there is still going to be that quote "It's anything but aliens".
The number of people in the astronomical and space community who are terrified of confirming any form of alien life from microbe to higher (microbe is "meh. Possibly acceptable" -and that we know from findings in our own solar system.
People have this idea, possibly brought about by the various planetary charts they have seen since childhood, that you leave Earth and it is a straight line to Mars, then Jupiter, then Saturn and so on. Almost as though the route from Mercury to Pluto (there, I wrote it) is a straight line -an interplanetary highway of sorts. It isn't. Neither is the universe linear: Earth is a grain of sand somewhere in 85 million tons sandbox.
"At least astronomers are trying" someone might say. However, they are looking into deep space -93 billion light years of it. We know that with radio signals you can expect them to take many thousands of years to get to the target "area" of space. Say a civilisation picks up that signal? It will take thousands of years to get the response. We mioght not still be here -in fact scientists say they have sent signals to areas where any intelligent life may have ceased to exist.
If I type a letter then put it in an air-tight sealed container and bury it ten feet (3m) somewhere in the Somerset countryside, miles from any buildings and with no signs indicating where it is located....how long will it be before anyone finds the container let alone reads the letter? Welcome to sending signals into space.
To put it bluntly, we know sod-all about our own solar system. Asteroids skip past us without being detecyted until a few days before. I am sure that the money given to this new "search" could go toward an asteroid defence system. Or, perhaps we ought to concentrate on probing the planets of our system before probing deep space?
Oumuamua showed just how astronomers and scientists can get hysterical -arguing, fighting and name-calling and all done publicly because they must have their five minutes (and it might lead to some profitable TV work, know what I mean?). Ufologists...I exclude from any debate on the subject as even now they are still using the PAINTING of what Omuamua might look like as though it was an actual photo -and they are picking up details on it!
In my book Contact -Encounters with Extra-Terrestrial Entities I wrote about why the French space agency has a unit that looks at UFO reports and the French have investigated and catalogued many UFO cases since the 1950s. Had such open policies been adopted in the UK, United States, Soviet Union/Russia we might be far more enlightened today.
I do NOT believe that an alien space craft crashed at Roswell, New Mexico, definitely never did at Aurora. There was no UFO crash near Nottingham, UK in the 1980s and that was proven beyond a doubt. Rendlesham Forest never saw a UFO crash. The whole "Grey alien abduction phenomenon" as made into a pop culture thing by Budd Hopkins and David Jacobs using very dubious data is just that -a modern pop culture myth. And I write that know that there are certain cases that seem genuine (but do not involve "Greys").
Any intelligent lifefrom elsewhere watching Earth is not going to want to make any open contact. Our best chances of encountering any intelligent life is in near space. Signalling and searching for signals in nearer solar systems -forget the next galaxy over. We need a large number of small probes that can send out a repeatable signal but also listen for such signals.
I would not expect official government bodies to do that (just the mere discussion as to the name of an advisory panel and all the ego pushing would take years. It needs someone with a lot of money and aerospace interest to do this and cut through red tape.Look at Elon Musk and his Starlink satellite system.
I hate to say it but this new search seems to be yet another "free meal-ticket for life" venture that professional astronomers love to get.
Unfortunately, I do not have thousands of years to wait and see if "anything" might be detected.

So Where Were The 'Alien Overlords'?
It has been stressed time and again in the literature how "generations" of families have been abducted by Grey aliens (or whoever the favourite species is this week) for their agenda(s).
Several "important abductees" have died from diseases such as cancer -which their life long alien abductors never detected (or did not think was important enough to mention?). Now I hear others have succumbed to Covid19.
So just what have these highly superior aliens been doing about this? Nothing, apparently. I'm sure the 'experts' will tell us that there are so many abductees that the loss of a few is "insignificant" to the "agenda".
Personally, I think it proves even more how the pop culture alien agenda, built up by years (since the 1980s) of faking accounts or "stacking the decks" by prominent ufologists, is fake.
Ufologists will come up with excuses but facts are facts.
I seriously doubt any of this will make ufologists take the subject and delve into it with more accuracy and research or even look at older cases that are "classics" based on a couple of newspaper clippings.

Fast Radio Bursts Source IDENTIFIED...maybe
I will come to what I have to say a bit further on but I
thought two items were of interest. The first from Yahoo! News -both are by
Andrew Griffin but Yahoo! puts its usual editing skills to work. https://uk.news.yahoo.com/radio-blasts-regular-rhythms-unknown-151300723.html
Radio blasts with 'regular rhythms' and unknown origin
coming from space, scientists say
CHIME Collaboration
Researchers have picked up strange, repeating rhythms in
blasts of energy coming from an unknown source in space.
The blasts are known as fast radio bursts, or FRBs, and are
coming to Earth in a stable, repeating pattern, according to a new paper
detailing the discovery.
Researchers still do not know the source of those bursts.
Though they must come from some very extreme, intense part of the universe,
there is no way of knowing what process gives rise to them.
The first FRB was picked up in 2007 and scientists have gone
on to find more than 100 since. Initially, they were detected only as
individual blasts, but in recent times researchers have found repeating
sources.
Now astronomers have started to find bursts repeating in a
pattern, where they seem to switch off and on in a predictable pattern.
The latest discovery sends out random bursts of radio waves
over a four-day window, and then goes quiet for 12 days, before beginning
again.
Researchers watched the bursts for more than 500 days,
noting that the 16-day pattern occurred consistently over that time, making it
the most definitive pattern yet seen.
“This FRB we’re reporting now is like clockwork,” says
Kiyoshi Masui, assistant professor of physics in MIT’s Kavli Institute for
Astrophysics and Space Research.
“It’s the most definitive pattern we’ve seen from one of
these sources. And it’s a big clue that we can use to start hunting down the
physics of what’s causing these bright flashes, which nobody really
understands.”
The discovery is reported in a new article, titled 'Periodic
activity from a fast radio burst source', published in Nature today.
The latest FRBs were picked up by CHIME, a radio telescope
in British Columbia
that began its work in 2017. Since then, it quickly started picking up FRBs,
using a technique that allows it to stare at the entire sky rather than moving
around if and when any burst is detected.
The repeating nature of the burst could give new insight
into where they are coming from.
Possibilities include one single object such as a neutron
star that is spinning and wobbling in space. That could explain the pattern to
the blasts, since the 16-day period may be the time it takes for the object to
spin around, with the four days of activity the ones in which it is pointing
towards us.
The blasts could also be the result of a binary system such
as a neutron star orbiting around another neutron star or black hole. The
pattern could be the result of the orbit between, and the interaction between
the two objects, which would explain their regular pattern, scientists say.
Another involves a static radio source that is going around
a central star – that star could be letting out a cloud of gas that magnify the
radio emissions and send them powerfully towards Earth. The repeating pattern
could therefore be an indication of when that source travels through its
clouds.
The CHIME telescope works to keep exploring FRB, measuring
one roughly each day. It will also keep watching the newly discovered burst,
and any changes in its properties could offer an important hint about where it
is coming from.
end
The second comes from the Independent onlinehttps://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/gadgets-and-tech/news/science-radio-blasts-space-frb-black-hole-galaxy-a9546546.html
:
SCIENTISTS FIND EXACT LOCATION OF INTENSE RADIO BLASTS
COMING FROM SPACE
Scientists have tracked down the location of intense radio
signals that have been coming from space.
Researchers found that the blasts appear to be coming from
galaxies that look remarkably similar to our own Milky Way.
The discovery rules out some of the most extreme
explanations for where the blasts are coming from, such as supermassive black
holes. But the source of the bursts – which are so unusual they have been
explained by everything from stars slamming together to alien technology –
still remains mysterious.
Fast radio bursts are very short, very intense blasts of
energy that come to us from deep in space. They last just a milisecond but
release more energy than our Sun emits in 80 years.
They were first discovered in 2007, and scientists have
spent the years since attempting to understand how something can give such
bright but brief signals. But spotting them is difficult, since there is no way
to predict where one may come from, and understanding their origin is even
harder.
Now researchers have made a new breakthrough by looking at
the precise location of four previously discovered fast radio bursts. Using the
ASKAP radio telescope located in the Western Australian outback, astronomers
were able to "zoom in" onto the host galaxies of the burst, in an
attempt to understand whether their neighbourhoods could give any clue about
where they are coming from.
They found that all four of the bursts they studied appeared
to come from massive galaxies that are forming new stars at a modest rate, like
the Milky Way.
While the process creating them still remains clear, the
fact they are being ejected from the edges of their home galaxies does rule out
some explanations of where they could be coming from.
“These precisely localised fast radio bursts came from the
outskirts of their home galaxies, removing the possibility that they have
anything to do with supermassive black holes,” said Shivani Bhandari, a
researcher at CSIRO, Australia’s national science agency, who led the research
which is published in The Astrophysical Journal Letters.
end
We see the headline in one piece that the origin of FRBs
is...Unknown. In the original article
from the Independent, however, we read that the source of the FRBs has led
scientists to their exact location
source.
Neither is really true since "scientists" have
only managed to find the area in space where the FRBs originate.
It has to be remembered that space itself is not
'noiseless'. In fact, it is quite noisy if you listen in. We also, despite the
outrageous claims of a large number of astronomers, do not know everything
about the universe and have all the answers -we have not even explored the
planets or moons in our own system yet and they are throwing up a large number
of mysteries.
For instance https://sputniknews.com/science/202006161079634803-astronomers-detect-glowing-green-oxygen-aura-in-mars-atmosphere/:
Astronomers Detect Glowing Green Oxygen Aura in Mars’
Atmosphere
It has long been believed that our world is the only planet
in the Solar System with an oxygen-based atmosphere, as there is a glowing
green aura around the Earth formed by the combination of sunlight with oxygen
atoms and atmospheric molecules. Similar emissions have now for the first time
been spotted surrounding the Red Planet.
The European Space Agency’s ExoMars Trace Gas Orbiter (TGO),
circling the planet since 2016, has detected a glowing green oxygen aura in the
Martian atmosphere for the first time, the agency said in a Monday statement.
The emission ring, seen previously only around the Earth by
astronauts aboard the International Space Station, occurs when sunlight
combines with oxygen atoms and air molecules in the planet’s atmosphere.
Astronomers have for decades posited that a similar emission
signature takes place in Mars’ atmosphere, but only now have they proved its
presence.
“One of the brightest emissions seen on Earth stems from
night glow. More specifically, from oxygen atoms emitting a particular
wavelength of light that has never been seen around another planet,” said
Jean-Claude Gerard of the Belgian University of Liege, and lead author of the
new study published in Nature Astronomy. “However, this emission has been
predicted to exist at Mars for around 40 years – and, thanks to TGO, we’ve
found it”.
The glowing green oxygen aura was spotted by a special TGO
tool known as NOMAD (Nadir and Occultation for Mars Discovery), as the orbiter
circled the Red Planet in the period between April and December of 2019,
according to the research team.
“Previous observations hadn’t captured any kind of green
glow at Mars, so we decided to reorient the UVIS nadir channel to point at the
‘edge’ of Mars, similar to the perspective you see in images of Earth taken
from the ISS,” said Ann Carine Vandaele of the Royal Belgian Institute for
Space Aeronomy, co-author of the study and principal investigator for NOMAD.
The team asserts that further study is needed to uncover
additional secrets of the Martian atmosphere, and necessarily suggest sending
more satellites to Mars to expand our knowledge of our nearest planetary
neighbor.
End
Now, rather like the fampous image of Oumuamua the image of the "Green Mars halo" is being taken as an actual photograph...if the probe is in the photo who took the photo? Clearly no one read "pic: artist impression"!
ESA's @ESA_TGO has detected glowing green oxygen in the martian atmosphere – similar to 'airglow' seen by astronauts from @Space_Station – but this the first time that this emission has been seen around a planet other than Earth

Back in the days of the old AOP Bureau Franklyn A
Davin-Wilson gathered much data on not just Unidentified Orbital Objects but
also Signals from Space. Many anomalies were found to have come from
interstellar objects –quasars, neutron stars and so forth –but unknown when the
data first appeared. After Franklyn’s untimely death I took over the work but
nothing ever stood up to scrutiny All except one that even had famous British
astronomer Patrick Moore stumped.
Science is somewhat like medicine: you take each facet of a
problem and build up an accurate picture after excluding one possibility after
another. There is the danger of missing things by constantly declaring “It is never aliens” and if you have a list of possibilities then, yes, you have to put
“Aliens” at the bottom of the list because
you have to check every other possibility first. This is where 99% of
Ufologists fail from the outset.
Above: Morning Aurora: Nasa astronaut Scott Kelly captured this photograph of the green lights of the aurora from the International Space Station in October 2015
“The light was moving around as though intelligently
controlled” says a witness. “Alien probe –they are well known amongst
researchers” says the Ufologist. No. Those
people are NOT “researchers”. “It was not ball lightning because there was no
storm at the time” is a nonsense since, in 1980, the AOP Bureau UFO
Report highlighted and identified natural phenomena and how they should
be excluded from the whole UFO subject since they are more a problem for
physicists. The whole “moved intelligently” is a fallacy down to untrained
observers, some of whom were rather panicky.
At the moment there seems to be a great deal of ufological
chat about astronomers “covering up the alien perspective” of the FRBs. I note
that a number of ‘celebrity ufologists’ and MUFON (of course) ‘experts’ are
involved in this. I suppose it gives
them something else to talk about other than Mantell, Roswell etc..
The FRB story is appearing every few weeks in the news
because writers can suggest a sensationalist aspect to the story. I think the
latest “They are from an Unknown source” and “Clearly identified source” –from the
same news item- displays how silly this can all get.
Perhaps Elon Musk ought to deploy a large number of tiny
probes into various parts of the solar system looking for actual signals?
Just saying.
