It's All Dead

Over the last few weeks I have been pulling out a lot of stops and, while the view numbers have increased (along with the stealing and use of original work by others for their blogs) the absolute lack of any response to posts is depressing.  Not even any interest in the books or AOP Journals and yet trash sells and people are happy to hear false stories and fakery online.

The Some Things Strange & Sinister page on Face Book gets updated regularly.

https://www.facebook.com/groups/592791765729889

But after all of these years (well over a decade)it has gotten to the point where I am just going to leave this blog as it is because updating so others can steal work is not exactly 'rewarding'.  And I have a PC that replaced the old one and is also on its final legs and I had hoped that book sales might cover a new PC. Sales are at zero for the books as well as AOP Journal.

"Put them on Amazon -they'll sell there!"  No. They do not sell on Amazon because some were on Amazon until I removed them. You see a book costing £25.00 you think I would get a healthy profit from but Amazon takes a MAJOR cut and one of the £20.00 (just go £ =$) book sale earned me 75p/75c I would need to sell a hell of a lot to make just the cover price of one copy of that book -you do the math. The AOP Journals I would need to sell hundreds of copies of each issue to even make a noticeable "profit".  Those are the facts of publishing and it has to be self publishing because most publishers who pay for original work lost their spines decades ago.

Original video content for this blog never garnered one comment of interest and even trying Patreon etc failed miserably with 00.00 £/$ and I even put a PayPalMe box to donate to keep the blog going and try -TRY- to get more content.

Nothing.

Go to the FB page -there is one for the Anomalous Observational Phenomena also. I seriously believe research and interest in factual reporting is dead.

So is blogging.

Have I seen a UFO? Do I believe in ghosts?

Above: my brother and myself in the back garden of the family home in St. Werburgh's c. 1967

I find it hilarious that there are people who call me a debunker (I am NOT I am a sceptic who has an open mind and follows the evidence) and yet have only seen blog posts -and obviously misunderstood some of those!  They have very obviously never read any of my books either.

Firstly, although I do not like the term "cryptozoology"; on the small side of things while a youngster living with my grandparents in a house with big park behind it, I saw an approx. 6 ins (15cms) long what I assume was a caterpillar. This was noticeable as it was climbing up the coal shed wall near the window and was a light fawn-ish colour with  long hair. It was like an old "window mop" and to this day -some 50 years on- I have been unable to find anything that matches.

While at secondary school where science was my big subject I was one of two boys (the other lost interest) the science tutor asked to help as he analysed a rather mysterious substance found spotted over teachers cars. After a long investigation (of two weeks) we not only identified the substance but found the culprits: the substance was bee waste and the rural science teacher maintained bee hives. Nice warm car in a sunny spot.

In Germany, along with four others I observed something with black, slightly shiny fur jump up from the edge of the forest into the conifers and heard it as it made its way through trees. A primate in 1970s Germany?  Oddly, my grandfather noted that he had seen a "sturm geist" (sorm ghost) some time before sat on a tree stump near the same spot and told me that it had jumped up a fair distance into the trees and made off.

One hot night I looked out of the window in the farmhouse where I was staying in Dalborn, Germany, and jst below the window was what I could only describe as a black fox with white face markings. I was a big joke after asking around about this. I even had a daylight sighting. Back home I found out I had seen a raccoon dog -the first reported in that part of Germany.

I have had to look into a number of "mystery creature" sightings that were all explained but I've spent decades studying sea creature reports which most debunkers do not!

UFOs I have seen on five occasions. NOT "UFO" as in "alien spacecraft" but a natural phenomenon(na). All have been at fairly close quarters barring a distance sighting in Germany (where I was 'on holiday' having dealt with a local flap back home!). These sightings helped me realise how confused UFO reports could be and, before anyone asks, yes I can account for every minute as I either looked at my watch or had a clock in sight.  So I do not dismiss all "UFO" sightings and since looking into some almost resulted in my death and probably left me physically affected after going into too many landing areas I did a lot of checking up.

Before I was born both my mother and father, again in Dalborn, observed a large bright object moving slowly around the area/forestry. That would be around 1957. There are other incidents. My current neighbours both saw two fast moving bright points of light with me. During the day time in clear skies and both objects stopped before one retraced its path and the other continued on the original heading.

The paranormal. Right, I have seen poltergeist events in a house the family were living in. Others also saw strange things. On one occasion while I was sleeping in the dark downstairs I told my brother's friend who was visiting that he could put the light on if he wanted as I was not sleeping. After 10 minutes I got concerned that he had not returned so went to the bathroom door to find it open and the light off. NO ONE had come downstairs until after daylight.

There was "the monk" as we jokingly called it. What seemed to be a schoolboy sized figure in rust coloured 'duffle coat' that was seen passing the front gate but however fast I rushed out -it was nowhere. One day my mother and sister were in the kitchen when they caught a dark figure go by outside and assumed that it was my other sister. No one came in.

On one occasion I saw in the living room with my younger brother and sister and there was some paranormal rubbish on TV. I said, jokingly out loud, "If there is just a thing as Satan burst the red balloon" and as I finished saying "balloon" the red balloon popped. Now, this was before Christmas so we had trimmings up and balloon, however, there was only ONE red balloon. Work out those odds of it being the one to pop.

At our old St Werburgh's hose (in Bristol) was a back room that my mother refused to sleep or go into unless with someone and she never said why. My brother and I got the room and it did have a odd feel to it. One day I was sat downstairs (room below the bedroom) with my parents and grandparents. My brother was upstairs reading. Suddenly there was a loud bang and I was told top stay where I was. My brother was found stunned on the bed and he told me later that he had been picked up and thrown against the ceiling/wall. We were told that was nonsense but were moved to another room.

Points; I do not believe in ghosts. Satan was a later addition to the Bible so....

On a visit to another sister in Bath I needed to use the bathroom. This involved going down a long flight of stairs. I was about two steps from the bottom step when I got hit by an overpowering feeling of dread and fear.  I had to physically stop myself from turning and running back up the stairs -it was that overpowering but I did start back up the stairs quickly but keeping my eyes on what "might" be behind me.  Back in the living room my sister's partner said "Didn't get all the way down then?" It turned out that he, an ex-soldier and tough guy, had the same experience and my sister dreaded going down the stairs and would wait until he got home before bathroom visits. There was a story that a woman had died in the bathroom but that was it. What I felt was totally irrational and I have never run from even physical threats before. Unfortunately, my sister moved before I could investigate properly -electro magnetic effect?

I have theories and I've spent decades looking into those so, if you start thinking "debunker" or telling people that's what I am...you are going to look silly.

Volcanic lightning arises from colliding, fragmenting particles of volcanic ash (and sometimes ice), which generate static electricity within the volcanic plume, leading to the name dirty thunderstorm. Moist convection and ice formation also drive the eruption plume dynamics and can trigger volcanic lightning.

This video shows an example and explains things.

J. Bernard Delair, who ran Contact (UK) Data Research and gave the organisation a far better appeal than BUFORA, wrote the following which was published in The UFO Register vol 8  pts 1 & 2  1977.

I should point out that I do not believe that "UFOs" (ie. extra-terrestrial space craft) were involved. I did try, several times, to get some information from Costa Rica on the events reported on but without success. It is possible that the phenomenon reported we connected -created- by the volcano as even inactive volcanoes have been known to be the locus of light phenomena whether plasma or other.

Was the volcano active? When it comes to the descriptions of the animals killed and so on then a volcanic outburst does come to mind -this photo of animals killed after an eruption in Indonesia proves a point.

Considering the fact that Ufology has gone off the deep end into fantasy these days the Ufologists of the past were only a tad better. Very cold winter? Was that to do with UFO sightings?  Very hot summers -a UFO connection? Thunderstorms and ball lightning became 'UFO crashes' as in Nottingham in the 1980s and on it went.

Until we can get a hold of any report from the time this was either volcanic/piezoelectric phenomenon or something similar because anything someone was not fdamiliar with became "flying saucers".

It would have taken a few hours to re-type the article and that is not something I am prepared to do considering you are getting this for free and not backing the blog (and the internet thieves will grab this for their own use). Click on the pages and you should be able to read them with no side bar interference.

Why Did The Earth Totally Freeze For 100 Million Years?

50 years of research

I have said before that I seriously do not think that my almost 50 years of research will last long after my own demise. As you get older and you think back to those who had their archives pilfered and work used after their deaths it gets sobering.

My hallway cupboard serves as the storage area for my UFO/CE3K files as well as the full to the brim work on exotics since 1977. Add to that my work on canids and felids since 1976 and it is a lot of paperwork. Letters, case reports, photos and much more never seen by anyone else. A unique collection which my family assures me will be in the burner after a week!

Most of the exotics work (Exotic Animals Register -EAR) is not seen here but is to the left out of frame. To the extreme right and hidden by the large Historical files is one dedicated to something that has occupied my attention since the 1970s -The False Lights of Durham 1965-1866. The historical files are packed full of historical UFO reports from AD 1-1947 and you might ask why there are three folders. The answer is simple: the original volume contained every "UFO" report from as many books and periodicals as possible and it was through these and studying them that I came up with the three categories of UFO report.

Further study and research then led me to completing a list of historical UFO cases that could be clearly identified. Further work led to more amendments and updates to a revised volume. We are talking  almost 2000+ pages to which separate files can be added.

The above is the first volume of Historical Reports and you can see it is bulky and considering the folders they are in were first replaced in the 1980s they need to be replaced which is something I hope to do this year ("hope").

Above: the second Historical Reports folder. In these folders are the original analyses of the Robozero Incident and the possible explanations that were looked into and conclusions.

Above: Yes, if you look closely you will notice that a typewriter was used. Thousands of typed pages that saw me work 0800-0200hrs on most days and I did go through three old typewriters!

Above: Regulars should recognise this as the old United States CE3K/AE file which is now divided up into a number of smaller folders now.

That is going to be some fire!

The problem is that hopes of digitally storing all of the work is a fantasy.  I have pointed out how much time (3 years at least) and how much (estimated at £30,000( it will take and that is just not a reality and I really wanted to make the archives FREE to everyone. Today I started to update the United States 1950s file and...ran out of copier paper and also plastic document sleeves to keep the files protected. I ran out of printer ink but, luckily, I had some bottled ink left as I do my own cartridge refills.  Why?  Well, had I purchased new ink cartridges throughout 2021 the total cost would have been over £2000 ($2000). Doing my own refills is a pain but if I did not so much would still be sitting there unrecorded and filed for posterity.

Again: "Why don't you just scan the documents?" and again I point out that I do not have a scanner and the PC I use I have hammered into working again so many times I do not think it capable of handling the work.

It is no secret and there is no sense in hiding the fact that you are -for anything requiring money- financially broke. Over the years I have tried to get money to keep the archives going and even added the PayPalMe box. Zero. NO ONE offers grants for UFO research let alone archiving work.

For the wildlife archive I may have someone who can take that on. The UFO work and mystery case files.... well, there's the problem....

A Disclosure?

Twitter folk are not really in the real world at times.

Do not criticise those trying to push an agenda and if you do expect the worst (at best).

The question that somebody else jumped in on: "Who pays you?"

No one. I am a publisher/artist/writer and financially I struggle every day. No backers. That is why my work is held back because scanner, working PC -mobile phone (which I would not use anyway)- could not even afford a second user one.

Now, as I know they read these posts: who is paying you?

ALIEN CHRONICLES (S1E11) - TRAVIS WALTON - ALIEN AND UFO ENCOUNTERS. Comments and Thoughts

In UFO Contact? One of the cases that I wanted to shoot down was that of Travis Walton.
Why?
Well, the UFO bunko TV celebrities keep pushing the Walton story as well as that of the Hills. You would think there had only ever been two such cases and both in the United states. I did not set out with a conclusion already in my head as that is not research but debunking. My intention was to look at the case from "outside Ufology" and look at the anecdotal evidence since there was no actual physical evidence.
The debunkers attack Walton and the others from every angle and Phillip Klass even attempted to bribe a false confession to prove it all a hoax. Unfortunately, at every turn the only thing I found was that the debunkers were made to look worse than any "UFO hoaxer" and their credibility and angles fell apart.
That was slightly annoying since I had assumed that after 40+ years someone would have seriously dented the case.
I am not talking about that 'film maker' who guested on three of Erica Lukes' podcasts and gas-lighted everyone and was not even hiding it. Hey, the area, 4 5 years on, looks different than it did in 1975 so that proves it was all a hoax seemed to be the argument and one of Walton's companions that night...age and recall was poor but he was pushed and twisted to prove it was a hoax.
I tried a couple avenues others had not looked into and...
I was frustrated to be honest. The more I looked into the case the more convincing it seemed. In fact I even started re-writing the book a couple times thinking I must have missed something.
Then there are the interviews with Walton and although he has become more adept at hiding the body language when re-telling the account the eyes cannot be hidden and they say a lot. Critics argue that Walton does not get worked up when he is criticised or his account attacked. He has come to accept it happened and moved on but those questions are still in his head. Questions that cannot be answered.

The important thing is that we have all of the original interviews and material from the 1970s. What has come out in more recent times is Walton trying to work out what happened? Why did it happen? That leads to speculation and it is to be expected.
Even Mona Stafford (Liberty, Kentucky abduction) a few years back was visibly still shaken by what happened to her and her companions and had so many questions.
Is Travis Walton a fraud? He has not become rich from what happened and he wants to make money from the experience? Why not because so many in Ufology, TV and movies have made a lot of money out of his account. He's not getting any younger and no one is paying him a big fee.
If Walton is a fraud then he should have been a professional actor and though actors can feign "the look" the genuine thing cannot be "put on". I cannot prove that he was abducted by aliens and I have tried (and failed) to prove that he was not. In such a case you can only go by the gut feeling you get. I think Walton underwent an experience that affected him for decades after. Aliens? Only Walton and his companions saw the UFO and only Walton was "abducted".
ONLY they know 100%

"The Dave Emmons and Tom Althouse Show" with Thomas Ferrario -a personal opinion: Messengers of Deception

It appears that we have a new UFO cult. Unless you are a complete conspiracy nut then this video is going to leave you asking what the **** is going on?

If you seriously study UFO reports you can define what you are doing with; natural (but not yet scientifically studied), misidentification and seemingly genuine unknown craft. That's it. But it seems that many "names" in Ufology are NOT doing that research. For this reason they mix up all three and see "totally unknown, impossible phenomenon -it can't be aliens!" Basing any opinions on the poor research of Vallee etc only adds to confusion.

I have been in and working outside Ufology since 1974 and befrore that I was reading UFO books and publications. In the 1950s cults were established via infiltration of Ufology by intelligence agencies and the contactees were the ones everyone were led to believe were the ones telling the truth and Borderland Frontiers was a right wing, racist organisation behind a lot of this -again with "someone" pulling the strings. The contactees became discredited so we then were told, in the 1960s, "flying saucers are hostile -trust the USAF to look into this!" followed by "Oh, its all BS. Don't panic. The USAF ain't even going to bother with them any more!"

Then, in the 1970s the whole UFO and cults came back again. This time the secret force behind UFOs were the Rosicrucians.  We found out that the Men In Black were operated by the Risicrucians. Add a smatter of fake stories and sensationalist tales in popular books and there you have it.
Richard Doty

At the same time Richard Doty working for the Office of Special Investigation (OSI) carried out a disinformation campaign and paid some top Ufolohgists such as William Moore and paid them to spread lies. In the case of Mr Bennewitz it was Doty and his pals that drove him to insanity and he ended his years in a mental facility. Doty then became a Ufologist and for having destroyed US Ufology for decades -became a star speaker and is definitely 'not' continuing his deception.

Incidentally, mail gets torn, lost, a postal worker looks inside for various reasons but this ALWAYS falls down to the "secret influences".

The Illuminati became popular in books and movies and TV and...the Illuminati are behind UFOs...or the Vatican.

This video is basically pushing religion, conspiracy theories that fall apart on scrutiny and are nothing new -this was going on in the 1950s, 1960s, 1970s, 1980s and continues as we see here. Either these people are schmucks and are being deceived and led into what they are spouting; for one thing Stanton T. Friedman was an interplanetary nuts and bolts man right up to his death and some of the others mentioned in lead booted name-dropping to add credibility to these ridiculous claims were not all shouting out "inter-dimensional!"
Jacques Vallee

Those that did start leaning that way were influenced by the Messenger of Deception Jacques Vallee and whether that was because of his poor research or deliberately I have no idea. He still says (paraphrasing) "Aliens are boring I think they are interdimensional".

Budd Hopkins

For goodness sake when will Ufology, a fringe group at best, wake up?  Budd Hopkins destroyed one major aspect of Ufology and Jacobs (a "reliable source" we are told in this video) has put and is still putting Ufology through a blender and people are falling for it.

Elizondo and all of those other counter intelligence guys that lied to Ufology and everyone else about UFOs for decades tell a story and suddenly we have no more UFOs it's all "UAP" and everyone is using that tag. Ufology has people attacking those who for decades have tried to dig for the truth but now they are pointing out all the problems in the Elizondo and AATIP story they become "the enemy". What is currently going on is not new and it was tried in different ways from the 1950s into 1990s and what we see now (increased secrecy on UFOs seems to counter the open-ness promised by Elizondo et all) will be repeated again in another 10 years.
David Jacobs

Ufology is being played and it seems only a few have any idea this is happening but they are, of course, "the enemy" of Disclosure (which has been coming every year since 1999). And now we have this video.

Sit back with a cup of coffee or tea and watch and LISTEN to this again. There is a religious narrative plus so many mentions of how "sources" have passed this information along but these people have NEVER seen the evidence -why would someone feed them a line?

Ferrario has successfully destroyed his scientific credibility and that is sad as I had hoped that he might come up with some of the Ted Phillips files with trace evidence and test results that no one has apparently ever seen. I now have to be suspicious of his Marley Woods claims and, again, nothing has changed since Phillips' day -the same "its just a light" photos/video and some strands of hair the test results of which we are told and not shown.

This is the point; if you have collected and tested "UFO" evidence you do not keep it in the collection. You publish the results so that it can all be peer reviewed by other scientists and confirmed.  To me Marley Woods is just another Skinwalker Ranch and US Ufology itself has been corrupted from within by counter intelligence and weakened even more by claims such as we hear in this video. John Keel would be rubbing his hands and loving this.

£30,000 and Three Years -anyone got spare cash?

The other day I posted this to the CE3K/AE Face Book page:

"Trying to make my files easier to get at and not bulky -the US needs at least two large folders and France and Spain require one each.

32 CE3K/AE files and starting next January I want to clean up some of the reports by getting more details. However, about 75% of cases from W Europe and the USA were never investigated and, sadly, we have lost those (though re-opening some as cold case files might save some)."

I continued the tidying up and adding sources/reports to the files and had to split up the United States files making three new file folders so now 35 in total covering the reports from around the world.

Neither the Hynek Center for UFO Studies (CUFOS) noir the Archive For the Unexplained (AFU in Sweden) has as complete an archive of these reports and, of course, I get asked (often in a roundabout way as no one likes to ask outright) what happens to coming up to 50 years of records and work?

Well, my four books cover aspects of the work but most of it has never been published and I did have an idea for a fifth book on the subject but no one appears interested in the subject. I do not intend to go anywhere just yet but the UK needs a UFO archive even if it's doubtful anyone is really going to be visiting one unless its to swipe information for books -research is a dirty word in the UK. I had thought CUFOS at first but they are low on staff and funds to ship a cupboard full of files do not exist. The AFU travel to the UK to collect archives but I do have concerns.

The Great British UFO Archive opens up in early 2023 so it is an option so long as its continuation and future is guaranteed.

The original idea was to ensure that CUFOS and AFU got records and somewhere in the UK got all the paperwork! The Bristol Central Library and Records Office were initially interested but as a lot gets dumped when "budget is low" by Bristol City Council I had to re-think.

Someone I am acquainted with has seen the files and is aware of the contents. He is also an accountant and studied maths at university. I told him of my plans and he told me to do nothing yet but hold on and he would look into things. He did -and quickly, too!

He is aware that the files contain "thousands" of pages and that I am continuing the updating every month (I spend more than a couple hundred £/$ a year on ink cartridges and document wallets!). Each one of those pages would need, after updating to be scanned and placed on to a mass storage device -USB sticks with very high gig counts. The scanning would take, with only one man doing the work, an estimated three years at 8+/- hours per day and that time, etc needs paying for. His estimate is that the work would need funding to the tune of £30k/$30k.

That does not shock me as the wildlife work I have done since 1976 runs into the many thousands and the same can be said for the CE3K/AE work to date. The likelihood of getting such funding is zero (underlined about ten times). I know what you are thinking "Start scanning now" and I would but I don't even have a scanner that works but I do have a very -very- old PC that is cranky. New PC and new scanner costs money and I barely survive day to day so getting new ones is a fantasy.

The idea of CUFOS, the AFU and the Great British UFO Archive each having a full set of CE3K/AE storage devices sounds good but at the moment it is very unlikely. Until either the books start to sell or some rich UFO enthusiast decides to invest £30k.... I plod on.

UAP/UFOs, Close Encounters of the Third Kind, Alien Abduction, UFO Crashes and more

A4 format
B&W

Since 1947 it has been claimed that UFOs/flying saucers are evidence of aliens visiting the Earth.  Since the 1950s claims of encounters with landed craft and alien beings were talked about but not taken seriously.

In the 1960s the subject of UFO abduction was a "slow-burner" until the whole "Grey" abduction phenomenon and claims made by researchers such as Budd Hopkins, Prof. John Mack and Dr David Jacobs and Whitley Streiber.

But is there evidence to back up any of the claims -and what about those encountering Alien Entities but who were not abducted?

Are these people all hoaxers, psychotic or suffering from some other mental illness as some claim?

Are those people who were exposed by Ufologists against their wishes, people who wanted to report what happened and then just get back to their everyday lives -thrust into the media glare against their will?

And if US authorities were so interested that in one case at least they broke into the home of two abductees and this was later proven -why?

Why did a hard core of these people never want publicity or to make money from what happened to them?

Above all, why did a major UFO landing incident take place on a US Inbterstate road in front of a large number of observers (all willing to talk to investigators) never get investigated? If it were not for a radio presenter interviewing and taking notes we would know nothing of the case -it would be labelled "insubstantial".

James and Coral Lorensen -the Scopolamine Kids; using a very notorious "truth drug" on alleged UFO witnesses and selling stories to newspapers.  An investigator (a veteran) showing a witness images of "aliens" encountered in other cases before any memories were retrieved.  Worst of all, the constant "pissing competition" and breaches of trust between UFO investigators.

2017 is the time to assess the past evidence and look at the faults within Ufology.

Not everyone is going to be happy -debunkers or ufologists.

Praised by Dr Mark Rodheiger of the Centre for UFO Studies and, below, John Hanson of the Haunted Skies Project and Colonel Charles Halt the officer involved in the Rendlesham incident.

The real SETI may already have established the there is alien life –and it has been visiting Earth for at least 70 years.

Once the mass of reports of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and entity encounters are sifted there remains a strong core of cases that defy logical explanation and suggest that these encounters have resulted in physiological effects and post traumatic stress.

Terry Hooper-Scharf of the CE3K/AE Project has led research into these reports for over 40 years and in this work takes a look at rare or obscure reports as well as cataloguing encounters from Germany and Portugal and focuses in on correlations in the reports and how the Dandenong (Kelly Cahill) encounter could be the best case ever reported.

Have the serious investigators and researchers looking into UFOs been unearthing better evidence of extra terrestrial life and contact with humans than established SETI ?

1973 –Year of the “Global UFO Wave”
1973 –The “Year of the Humanoids”
1973 –The year of the Pascagoula alien abduction claim
1973 –Several witnesses observed two Unidentified Flying Objects: one temporarily landed on a US Interstate road while the other hovered close-by. An entity appeared from the landed object. A car driver approaching from the opposite direction stops, turns his/her car and races off. This is classed as a Major Incident in Ufology.
1973 –a driver observes a landed UFO and entities and opens fire with his gun when he felt threatened. A High Strangeness account.
Neither of these cases was investigated despite requests for local investigators to do so. Even in 2020 the idea of opening up either as a cold case was flatly Rejected by America’s ‘top UFO investigation’ group.
Reports now probably lost to history.
1973 –a year in which UFO reports from African-Americans were frowned upon and ignored. Nothing has changed.
