Let's Talk About Stats, Posts And Other Stuff!

I had wondered what might be the most viewed item on this blog?

Basically, checking other things I wanted to compare.  After all, I believe all sales of the books have been from outside the UK.

So, do you want to know the top All Time posts?  Here you go:

Please, if you haven't realised how fake Ghost Adventures and the other programmes on TV are now my little post (24, 916 views??) is not going to convince you.  Again, I need to point out that there are very few serious paranormal investigators out there -it's more like a pop culture thing and how many who get EVPs and "ghost footage" actually submit these for scientific analysis? IF GA had really genuine 'proof' as they claim then I'd expect them to be submitting that to science to study rather than ask Dudley Dumbuttons to make his oscilloscope wiggle about and say "unexplained -did you see the wiggle?"

And I was surprised to find in the stats that there are a LOT of views from people in the UK so no language barriers involved that are stopping comments on posts.

No one in the UK wants to buy my books....I'm just hoping the "cryptozoologists"/"Ufologists" and other "Fakeologists" got the material they  needed!

Something also hit me with these numbers. I was reading the Views counter as reading just under 10,000 and never realised the total blog views stood at 95,988.  Which looks great but it hits home more how few books have been purchased -you might think better sales with that number of visitors but it gets worse because those figures are for people coming here directly. Visitors from social media and other links actually treble that figure but I'm not that concerned since dyscalculia means it's just a jumble of numbers.

But 1% sales from these figures -would be incredible.

I ought to point out that to date most every country with internet access has appeared as a viewing source.  Any TV executives out there -I'm here!

Sadly, I do not think that the organisations involved in looking into the seal deaths have even spoken to each other.  I sent emails to each in which I introduced those from the organisations in question and a year-and-a-half later....nothing.

People ask why I bother with seals, whales, canids when there are mysteries such as Sasquatch etc? Well, because whether they are scientifically known or unknown creatures I care. I didn't become a naturalist decades ago to become rich.  I spend a lot of money I need helping out.  Somehow I don't see my making a barrel of money to retire on.  Besides, naturalists do not retire.

For Lovers Of The Strange and weird!

I'll keep pushing these because there are decades of referenced work in them.  Being a naturalist, artist and what-not does not pay a wage.  These books are how I am supposed to eat and pay bills. Interesting that most sales are outside the UK though...

More on that in another post!

By the 1700s the British fox was on the verge of extinction and about to follow the bear and wolf having been hunted for sport for centuries.

The answer was to import thousands of foxes per year for sport. But foxes kept dying out so jackals were tried. Some were caught, some escaped. Even wolves and coyote were released for hunting and "country folk" were very far from "happy" -some even threatening local hunts -one intending to release a wolf for a hunt- with legal and other consequences.

The summation of over 40 years research by the noted naturalist and former UK police forces exotic wildlife consultant reveals the damnable lie of "pest control" hunting but also reveals the cruelty the animals were subject to and how private menageries as well as travelling shows.

Private menageries, or single exotic "pets" as well as travelling shows helped provide the British and Irish countryside with some incredible events such as the 1905 "vampiric" sheep killer of Badminton, the mystery hounds of Cavan and Coyotes of Epping Forest.
The Girt Dog of Ennerdale is also dealt with in detail -was it a tiger? A Tasmania Thylacine? This book gives the exact facts and details for the first time.

Up-dated 2013 edition includes a section on sarcoptic mange in foxes and treatment plus a list of wildlife sanctuaries and rescue centres in the UK.

The terror and mystery created by “Jack The Ripper” has been the subject of countless books, magazine articles as well as movies and TV documentaries. Ask anyone if they have ever heard of Jack The Ripper and it is doubtful anyone would respond with a “no idea.”

By that same token, ask people who “Spring-heeled Jack” was and you would be lucky to find anyone who had ever heard of him.

Spring-heeled Jack was the subject (loosely) of a film The Curse of the Wraydons (1946) and Dominic Keating also appeared as Spring Heeled Jack in the 2010 film Sherlock Holmes by The Asylum film company. The character has also featured in both American and British comic books and a number of books, for both children and adults.

But the fact that the Springald held the country –not just London– in a grip of terror much longer that the Ripper did is all but forgotten except for some half-truths and fanciful theories.

Now be prepared to read the full story of Spring Heeled Jack

The Werewolf of Kladno!

Thought I'd give you a chill for the day/night -where ever you are.  Remember the TV series Nightstalker (the 1970s one)?  The werewolf on the loose?

Czech police had a similar problem!

Here is the story so remember: it may be hot at night but always lock your windows!

Naked man thinks he’s a werewolf, growls and attacks cars in moonlight rampage

A naked man who apparently thought he was a werewolf ran through the street growling and harassing motorists and pedestrians, police said.

In CCTV footage from Kladno in the Czech Republic, a nude man, covered in blood, chases people, jumps onto a car bonnet and attacks arresting officers.

Police reported that the man seemed to feel ‘no pain’.

Officers were eventually able to subdue the man and take him to a nearby station. The suspect continued to cause mayhem, they said, and damaged his police cell.

He had earlier climbed onto a first floor balcony of a local home, smashed through the glass window and attacked a family, according to reports.

Blood sample results showed the man to be completely sober.

He will undergo psychiatric evaluation.

Here's the slightly shorter video:

And another report:

Watch terrifying moment naked 'werewolf' man growls as he attacks people and cars in moonlight rampage

This is the terrifying moment a naked man who thought he was a werewolf terrorised police and the public during a moonlight rampage.

CCTV footage shows the man covered in blood and chasing after terrified passers-by while growling like a wild animal.

Dashcam footage from a police car then shows the man leap onto the car bonnet, smashing the windscreen and attacking the officers.

The officers can be heard shouting in confused horror as they desperately try to subdue the wildman.
Photos of the carnage show the police car smeared in blood.

Eventually the suspect was arrested and taken to a police cell, where he continued to wreak havoc by smashing it up.

The bizarre incident happened in Kladno, Czech Republic on Tuesday.

According to local media, the man had earlier climbed onto a first floor residential balcony and jumped through a glass window before attacking a family.

Officers reported the man seemed to feel "no pain" as he damaged five cars and smashed up a cash machine.

After taking blood samples, the man was found to be completely sober.

He will undergo psychiatric tests to determine the cause of his behaviour.
