I am going to do something that I know is going to make absolutely no difference. However, people have been telling me that I should do this before leaving the blog to rot away.
Come 1st May I am shutting the blog down for one month -until 1st June. Apparently some think that this will show people what they are missing. It makes no difference to me since I won't be working on the blog. The idea, as it was explained to me is that this will show people what they will misss and ought to encourage support such as buying books etc.
I can tell you now that I do NOT believe that will happen. People do not want to read but just go online and take whaytever rubbish is fed them. That is what over 2 decades on the internet has taught me. If people wanted to support the continuation of the blog they would have purchased books or donated before now.
So, 1st May -1st June goes dark then, on the 2nd June I expect to close completely. Life is way too short to mess around.
