The Fermi Paradox

Fermi

The Fermi paradox is the noticeable contradiction between the high statistical odds that alien life exists and the total lack of evidence or contact from them. Named after physicist Enrico Fermi, who famously asked "Where is everybody?" in 1950, it highlights how quiet the universe is despite billions of potential planets.

In fact, Fermi asked that after listening to a couple other scientists discussing the local "flying saucer" reports over lunch. I call it the "ass head of science".  If Fermi and the other scientists were aware of local UFO reports and that what was described was well beyond anything the United States or Soviet Union had....the answer is "surveying (or whatever) Earth" -the reports you were all talking about.

Astronomers and scientists have been doing this since 1947: "there are all these UFO reports but nonsense because we've never detected them after years of SETI".  This is very likely FAR (Fear of Alien Reality) since these people would lose their places as the exclusiove elite intelligences in science (what would they do for free meals and jobs for life??)

It is nonsensical. Remember that even esteemed US President Thomas Jefferson (one of the most learned men of his time -we are told) stated that he would sooner believe Yankee scientists were lying than that rocks fell from the sky.  Despite thousands of detailed reports of ball lightning -some by scientists- we still have no idea what creates it and there are many scientists who still do not believe that it exists.

You might expect that the "open mind of science" would be looking into UFO reports. Back in 1980s it took a day after compiling many hundreds of reports to see that there were three classes of reports:

1.  Insufficient could be anything and this was the category with the largest number of reports (hoaxes were totally ignored)

2.  A form of natural phenomenon (NOT ball lightning, "Earth Lights" etc) that could leave phsical traces, change form and be pf various sizes/colours.  The reports for this category would fill a couple chunky volumes. It could be classed as the most common phenomenon reported as UFOs.

3.  Where witness credibility is good and the object is seen in the right conditions and is quite clearly construced but far beyond anything we had -then (1940s -/+) and today -UFOBs. We have to -have to- if we are looking at the data with an open mind and attempting to piece a picture togetrher of these UFOBs look at the landing cases, traces left and so on. In reality this has not been done by Ufology. We have to look at the physiological and psychological effects on people -what do the physiological effectys tell us -is a form of radiation involved, etc., etc..   Then we have to look at the alleged entities involved in these incidents and ask what the various physiological features reported  tell us -something looked at on this blog in the past and in my books on the subject.

There are many cases that are clearly sleep paralysis or Ruth Syndrome (as explained in UFO Contact?) which suddenly become major abduction cases...after the persons involved read books by Hopkins, Jacobs and Streiber -what I term "absduction scenario primers". Only once we can seperate these cases can we get to the core data we need. Ufology refuses to do that as media attention and money is drawn in by whateever is popular at the time -"ghost lights", "Rods", "Abductions" etc etc.

Categories 1,2 and 3 get dumped into one huge pile and we end up with zero credible evidence to analyse.  It took weeks to gather all of the reports from books, magazines, original reports and news items but a day to see a very clear pattern (The UFO Report -unpublished- went into all of this in 1980) but Ufologists were not interested and no comparable work has appeared since then.

I am quite sure that there is, somewhere on this planet, credible scientists who do look at the data but privately (Avi Loeb destroyed the chance for any scientist to come out and declare what they have found).  I know that a few have expressed interest in reports but I recall a big conference of astronomers in the United States in the late 1960s(?) where no one got up to go and check when astronomers rushed in to reports UFOs flying around outside and they had no idea what they were. Real scientists would rush out if only to look and say "Idiots. That is----" But the true reaction of the jobs for life boys?  They sat on their backsides and uttered the odd "ridiculous".

Fermi stands in his back yard staring up into the night sky while friends all around him star in awe at a flying saucer some 20 yardfs away. Fermi says "Where are they?"  (a dozen fingers pointing does not constitute evidence)

That is what the Fermi Paradox means. General George Armstroing Custer stands atop a hillock during the battle of the greasy grass(Little Big Horn)  and asks "Where are they?"

The Next AOP Journal?

I was asked when the next AOP Journal would appear?

My response was "When people BUY the thing!"

It is not worth putting weeks into writing and publishing a magazine that sells 5 copies (and not for every issue). Like the UFO books they get the praise but praise does not pay bills. It is why I put the other books on hold.

Scrap books as put together by Albert Rosales (do not get me started) sell more that full in depth books . People do not want to read.

No Interest Now. No Interest in the Future

Quite honestly I was asked so told the person that since 1974 I worked on the CE3K/AE Study alone. Cooperation from Ufologists in the UK -zero (but plenty of name calling and abusive comments) and elsewhere -very little especially after they all decided "New Ufology" was easier -it was all in the mind and they could sit on their asses and do little work.

Every breakthrough came about because I dug in, I spent money and I kept digging -just on some of the cases from my non UFO books cases took 30-35 and even 40 years to get akll of the facts.

As far as I am concerned what I have done since 1974 is mine. Noone has been interested. So why let people benefit from my work later on? (I don't even get respones from AFU now) My books will vanish as well as they are only available via my online store and printr on demand so no one will profit from my work by selling them at over inflated prices.

The Falkland Hill Case -Scotland's Most Controversial UFO Case?

Previously published on the AE/CE3K blog

Firstly, the book was not that well written and on several occasions I had t re-read to make sense of something. I will say nothingf of the writing style.

The actual encounter claimed got very confusing in the telling and at one point I had to try to make out if a "third incident" was actaully being written about or referring back to a third incident".

On page 16 it is stated that Mary saw a small dome on top of a huge triangular object. My question is HOW could she see a small domefrom the ground?  We also have her stating she saw things closer toi her, such as the entities, which she stated she should not have been able to and she observed things others did not.

On page 23 I added a note: "Unless the people are lying or joking or they are prone to extreme exaggeration" -I later came to a conclusion.

On page 23 Mary notes how she saw a mist coming toward the group....no one else saw this and the mist resembled a cocoon or soap bubble. That is a pure nonsensical description that is not queried.

The late Tony Dodd asked the people involved whether they had found any strange marks on their bodies? After that any and every bruise, mark, stiff joint is reported and highl;ighted and the photograph of Susan's "markls" are not clear in the photograph in the book but thanks to it appearing in colour in a press report it can be said to be unimpressive. A female acquaintance told me "I've had that from my bra!" Not wearing abra myself I could not comment. What I did was ask ladies of my acquaintance whyo told me that they had odd bruises and marks from wearing bras or sleeping in them. So vague marks are in this case not proof of much.

We read that Peter, the son of Mary, observed the floating entity from his bedroom window and his friend saw it, too. We have to take Peter's word on that. In fact, going by what was written on Peter and Mary -particularly Peter- alarm bells should have been ringing and I felt as though the investigators would not have seen or heard the lights flashing, siren blaring fire engine coming before it hit them.

Peter standing up and pointing to an area in front of curtains and stating matter of factly that there were three of the beings there in the presence of the investigators was amusing to a point. The investigators DID take photographs of the spot even though they saw nothing. Standing where the aliens were they were told all Peter could then see was a sort of zig-zag pattern.  Peter even matter of factly explained how he woke up one morning and one of the beings was in his bedroom, stood near him while he ate breakfast, was in the taxi with him on the way to school, helped him out in lessons and even took the taxi home with him. Not a word spoken though.

Apparently Mary saw a "shimmering" (like a heat haze in the road) which meant they were there but was uneasy aboput thios so stopped them appearing. On one occasion she allowed a "Grey" to materialise but then stopped it.  Mary had read the Whitley Streiber books and seemed very informed on UFOs and also had a ghost dog -oh, and one of her cats had no problem with one of the beings strokinbg it.

The other witnesses seemed to be almost hysterical if we believe the account with Susan (the daughter of Mary's friend -it gets VERY confusing-  even screaming at one point that "there's one by my (car) window grinning at me".

Firstly, there are various aspects that can be explained away as every day things being miss-identified and assumed to be "alien".  I cannot see how "hundreds of bright spinning lights" or very bright large objects were not seen by anyone else at the time and reported -even based on the area in question it seems unlikely anyone going by would not see them -but not everyone seeing a UFO reports it.

There is just something very off about these sightings and we are talking three incidents in one night. Mary also calling a Ufologist expecting a team to shoot out there as "something strange is going on" made me laugh. Ufologists from my experience either wait until it's all over and safe or drive off ion the opposite direction.

The "many" entities walking about normally, bending over and picking up crates and walking off just like people would really made me ask whether these were pea pickers working at night.  These short entities were apparently overseen by a taller, browner entity standing near trees. How tall was he? Half the size of the trees or 15 feet.

Could there have been an actual UFO sighting at the start as they drove to get a jar of  coffee? Could have been. Could there have been more to that incident rather than a mere sighting? At first I thought it possible but when we get to Mary and her son Peter things fall to pieces quickly. It is possible that this is a case of hysteria when it comes to everyone else but with the mother and son I think there is far more to it.

In UFO Contact? I outlined what I termed Ruth Syndrome. Taken from a case that appeared in a book by a note psychologist (also a TV play on the BBC starring Connie Booth) about his patient who he called "Ruth". Ruth heard foot steps, saw clearly visible and solid forms -actually proven through tests carried out by a university- and much more.  It was later discovered that the father she was estranged from also had similar events in his life. It is quite possible that Mary passed that syndrome down toi her son. Also Mary being into UFOs and having read the Streiber books and seeming quite calm and at ease when her son described the three invisible entities in the room and the one that went to school with him -and also described the "haze"- probably provided an environment where his reality would allow for regular "visitations". These entities never communicated with him I should point out.

Do we have a credible case of UFO abduction or a major UFO incident in the Falkland Hill report? Very low credibility for a sighting.

What I am surprised about is that a Fortean forum which looked at this case never pointed to any of the 3 metre high neon warning signs from the book. In fact, reading the comments on that forum I do not believe anyone there read the book. This is quite typical of Forteans, cryptozoologists and Ufologists who will judge and assess based on newspaper clippings -some Ufologists proudly boasting that IS their investigation.

I had hoped that Malcolm Robinson might have responded to my request for any completed reportor information that might add more weight to the case but he has not.

I am awaiting the second "deep dive" book on this case but to be honest between Mary and Peter and the other information in the book when included in the archive it will be classed as "Low". I had hoped there was more but the witnesses are now all moved on and uncontactable it seems. A pity.

Look in the mirror while saying this....

I have been looking at the Vodovoz alleged abduction case and have found that all Ufologists have on it is a video interview. Online Ufologists and idiots with blogs cite the case but get the first name wrong -is it Cindy or Cynthia? Surname-is is Valadez or Vodov or Vodozov?

All quote the same source but here is the thing: not one of them has read that source. At the moment I am trying to access said source and then we'll see exactly what is what.

Then (when it comes to Eupora, 1973) we have the comical situation of MUFON not wanting to investigate an old case because "it's would just be a story" and yet MUFON has built up its finanaces on...stories, fake events and much more.

I have tried every Ufologist in the US I can and even "paranormal" investigators. None interested in what could turn into a major historical case.  News media and radio as well as podcasters -absolutely no interest.

I have appealed online -my blogs and even (this is how desperate it gets) Reddit. Nothing. If this was in the UK I would be taking a train to the location and asking questions and doing online searches for the witnesses -the current U.S. administration has made it more difficult for those outside the States to access online data.

I would say that when screaming out "Science won't take us seriously!" a Ufologist should be looking in a mirror.

I Remember When UFO Investiigators Were NOT DRONES!

Apparently if you belong to MUFON you cannot investigate nnything unless "mummy and daddy say so". I contacted  SW MUFON UFO UAP Investigation and told them about the Eupora case. It would be aq cold case and this is what I got in response:

Well, MUFON are not interested and got nasty to get out of doing anything and so it seems the SW MuFON people are just not intertested as well. They are NOT allowed to inbvestigate any case unless their MUFON bosses say so.
Their response re Euporia:
Experiencer Resource Team (Ert)
We can only investigate officially submitted MUFON cases but we have many folks who would love to help you out if you submit the report - regardless of if you do or don't have evidence and we can only investigate cases submitted by the actual witnesses you can't submit someone else's sighting or contact if must be what you saw does this make sense?

Yes it makes sense. MUFON is a shambles of an organisation and its investigators appear to have been turned into mindless drones.
I have run out of options in the US/Mississippi so it lo0oks like the full details of what happened in 1973 are lost. I have contacted local news papers, radio and am not hopeful.
All because of initial racial prejudice

That written I was polite in my response:

Yes, I understand but this is potentially a major old UFO incident for which we know the names of some of the witnesses and those are the people that I have tried to trace. I was not there but the case is on the record from the time and was, admittedly, ignore because the witnesses were black. I just cannot understand the lack of willingness to look into an old case but willingness to ignore and lose the data. Thanks anyway.

UFO Investigators in Mississippi

Does anyone know of any UFO investigators in  the Eupora, Webster county, Missouri or in the state itself and are independent of MUFON and can look into cases without having to wait for someone to approve it?

The Eup0ora multi witness sighting of 1973 was ignored by local investigators despite Hynek and Ted Bloecher requesting the case be looked into because the witnesses were black. It could be a potentially very imp-ortant Close Encounter of the Third Kind butthe witnesses are not getting any younger and we need to get their accounts before they are lost forever.

I am posting this around.....

I am posting this around as I am somewhat unhappy at the revenue I am losing from books.]

I use a US based print on demand company (UK is so backward it does not have PODs) and they get a cut of a sale for simply storing a PDF. The printers get their money, rightly. And any sales money is low BUT I can get taxed by the IRS and the POD only pays me when the exchange rate is in its ($) favour.,

I have lost money on my CE3K books. I saw each one appear and US next to it but my percentage 0000. This has happened before and the POD always sends you in circles with silly excuses.

I know someone in the US who has helped out with non payment and other issues with UIS companies re my other work. He's ex-IRS and I've done him a few favours so I asked if he could look into these printed books for which I get nothing?

Today he got back to me. "The "US" on the data sheet you see is not for a US sale as such. It means that the copies were requested by the US Government. I checked and have found that your books -total four sets of all the books since 2024- were delivered to the United States Department of Defense (pre title change). That means a total block on finding out who exactly ordered them. Sorry"

I say no more.

There will NEVER be "Disclosure"

There will NEVER be "Disclosure" and I have been saying that since 1997 when some of the first grifters announced "UFO Disclosure is next year",

Back in the early 1980s I used to meet up with an American gentleman I had corresponded with on UFOs since the 1970s. I knew what his work was supposed to be but I also knew who he worked for (that is a semi funny story in itself).

We would meet and exchange UFO reports and items of interest and he would have a short list of any questions such as "Have you come across-----" or "We've found this feature in some reports -have you and any idea what it might mean?" and so on.

I had similar conversations with persons attached to the UK MoD and the one thing I learnt was that official bodies had UFO reports, they had photos etc but they were no nearer to having anything solid than UFO groups.

There are no frozen bodies and certainly not, at my last count, well over 100 crashed alien space craft -just think that through logically Travel through interstellar space with such poor technology that every flight is a suicide mission OVER 80 years -no advancement.

I was unofficially at a certain US base in the 1980s looking into a UFO report. Nothing "Top Secret" though the visit was later distorted out of reality on the TV series UFO Hunters.

So if you think any government is going to shatter everyone's world view and release sensational cases that cannot be explained...think again.

Photo of a Ghost?

Here is the photo and the story:

In 1982, photographer Chris Brackley unknowingly captured what would go on to become one of the most talked-about ghost photographs ever taken, all within the quiet, historic walls of St Botolph’s Church. At the time, nothing seemed out of the ordinary. The church stood still and silent, steeped in centuries of history, its dim lighting and towering architecture creating an atmosphere that already felt heavy with the past. Chris simply set up his camera and took the shot, unaware that anything unusual had entered his frame.
But when the film was later developed, everything changed. As the image slowly came into focus, Chris noticed something he couldn’t explain. High up in the church loft, tucked into the upper right-hand corner of the photograph, was a faint and almost transparent figure. It appeared to be a woman, dressed in old-fashioned clothing that didn’t belong to the modern world. Her form was subtle yet unmistakable, as if she had been quietly standing there, watching from above the entire time.
Shaken by the discovery, the photograph was examined closely by experts. They analyzed the negative, searching for any logical explanation—double exposure, camera malfunction, or flaws in the film. But nothing turned up. The negative was clean, the equipment had been functioning perfectly, and there were no signs of tampering or error. With every possibility ruled out, the image only became more unsettling. To many, it suggested something far harder to explain—a presence that had been there, unseen, at the exact moment the photo was taken.
The story might have ended there, remaining just another unexplained mystery, but years later, an even stranger connection surfaced. Chris was contacted by a builder who had been working on restoration efforts within the church’s crypt. During the process, the builder accidentally broke through part of an old wall, uncovering a hidden stack of ancient coffins that had long been sealed away from sight. As one of the coffins shifted and opened, it revealed a body that was shockingly well-preserved despite the passage of time.
What truly sent chills down his spine, however, was the face. The features of the body bore an uncanny resemblance to the figure captured in Chris’s photograph years before. The same structure, the same presence—it was as if the woman in the loft had been silently connected to the remains hidden beneath the church all along.
Since then, the photograph has continued to circulate, sparking debate between skeptics and believers alike. Some insist there must be a rational explanation still waiting to be discovered, while others see it as undeniable evidence that certain places hold onto the echoes of those who once walked them. And in the quiet halls of St Botolph’s Church, many wonder if that figure in the loft was never truly alone… or if she’s still there, watching from above.

Black Tower World Mystery Books -UFOs and Close Encounters

Although there are some classic cases in these books the majority involve cases that are very rare, have never appeared in English before and unlike most "clump everything together to fill a book" efforts these look at aspects of cases as well as some very common but not reported on before entity and scenario types.

Someone who has been involved in Ufology since the 1980s noted: "Over half these cases I have never heard of before!"

530 pages
illustrated with maps, photographs and more
A4 format
B&W

Since 1947 it has been claimed that UFOs/flying saucers are evidence of aliens visiting the Earth.  Since the 1950s claims of encounters with landed craft and alien beings were talked about but not taken seriously.

In the 1960s the subject of UFO abduction was a "slow-burner" until the whole "Grey" abduction phenomenon and claims made by researchers such as Budd Hopkins, Prof. John Mack and Dr David Jacobs and Whitley Streiber.

But is there evidence to back up any of the claims -and what about those encountering Alien Entities but who were not abducted?

Are these people all hoaxers, psychotic or suffering from some other mental illness as some claim?

Are those people who were exposed by Ufologists against their wishes, people who wanted to report what happened and then just get back to their everyday lives -thrust into the media glare against their will?

And if US authorities were so interested that in one case at least they broke into the home of two abductees and this was later proven -why?

Why did a hard core of these people never want publicity or to make money from what happened to them?

Above all, why did a major UFO landing incident take place on a US Inbterstate road in front of a large number of observers (all willing to talk to investigators) never get investigated? If it were not for a radio presenter interviewing and taking notes we would know nothing of the case -it would be labelled "insubstantial".

James and Coral Lorenzen -the Scopolamine Kids; using a very notorious "truth drug" on alleged UFO witnesses and selling stories to newspapers.  An investigator (a veteran) showing a witness images of "aliens" encountered in other cases before any memories were retrieved.  Worst of all, the constant "pissing competition" and breaches of trust between UFO investigators.

Fully illustrated with drawings, maps and photographs some very rare or previously unpublished.

Praised by Dr Mark Rodheiger of the Centre for UFO Studies and, below, John Hanson of the Haunted Skies Project and Colonel Charles Halt the officer involved in the Rendlesham incident.

The Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) says that we may have to wait many thousands of years before any signals sent gets a response if they are detected.

The real SETI may already have established the there is alien life –and it has been visiting Earth for at least 70 years.

Once the mass of reports of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and entity encounters are sifted there remains a strong core of cases that defy logical explanation and suggest that these encounters have resulted in physiological effects and post traumatic stress.

Terry Hooper-Scharf of the CE3K/AE Project has led research into these reports for over 40 years and in this work takes a look at rare or obscure reports as well as cataloguing encounters from Germany and Portugal and focuses in on correlations in the reports and how the Dandenong (Kelly Cahill) encounter could be the best case ever reported.

Have the serious investigators and researchers looking into UFOs been unearthing better evidence of extra terrestrial life and contact with humans than established SETI ?

There have been many claims of UFO landings and encounters with alien entities since 1947 and while some such as that of Betty and Barney Hill and Travis Walton may be well known they were not the first and certainly not the best incidents. Encounter claims are a world wide phenomenon and not confined to the United States. After 50 years of the CE3K/Alien Entity Study, For this fifth book looking at CE3K/AE reports Terry Hooper has chosen some of the best and least known reports as well as some that might be known but adding much detail; Aveley, Ewloe, Kingfield and others deserve to be better known as does the case of Elsie Oakensen, Bronte Lloyd, Chapters include:

The Buckfastleigh Mystery
