The Fact May Be That The "Sea Monsters" Of Old Are No More

I have had to come to some grim conclusions. 

In my lengthy post from 2019 "Humans Have Probably Killed Off 'Sea Monsters'", which can be found via the link below, I looked at the history of reports as well as the environmental changes taking place in our hydrosphere -specifically the seas and oceans.

While the armchair 'experts' with reputations built over expensive luncheons and shouting at students who dare ask a question that made them think, others were studying reports of unknown sea creatures. It was even noted in newspapers that reports of "sea Serpents" increased over a certain few months at certain locations. A migratory route. People went out to see if they could spot the beasties -rather like people walking shorelines today keep a look-out for whales.  

Yes, we have discovered a large number of sea creatures since the 19th century and while some may match descriptions of the old 'sea monsters' we are left with reports that cannot be put down to Oar Fish (Agrostichthys parkeri or Regalecus glesne or Regalecus russelii) -those popular “explainer aways”. Nor can they be identified as giant squid (Architeuthis dux) or even giant octopuses. 

There may be some rare smaller sea creatures –that is animals below the length of 20 feet (6m). These may be living in less well travelled waters or areas of waters where humans have not intruded to a heavy degree. 

For the past 20 (yes, twenty) years I have contacted anyone and everyone I can to see whether they are hearing of or receiving new reports of sea creatures. I have put appeal after appeal up on social media and on this blog requesting that anyone who might know of a report forward it or a link. 

The response has been...non-existent. Nothing. Not a word. Obviously faked You Tube videos are not evidence of anything other than the way that the internet has allowed hoaxers and frauds to expand their ‘game’ more. 

Yes, I do check new You Tube videos because, though they may be a time waste totally dismissing clips “could” lead to missing something intertesting. 

People still sail around the world. People go on cruises. There are more cameras around now than ever before so why are there no new reports? 

People scared of being laughed at? Well, in this day and age they can send a video clip and details to a museum or oceanographic organisation of their choosing and ask “Have you any idea what this might be?”  

A simple, non-sensationalist request. 

Instead we have nothing.  

The claims that museums cover-up reports is somewhat ludicrous. The idea that an oceanographic research organisation studying marine life is going to cover-up footage of a genuine unidentified creature is equally ludicrous. Such a video clip would almost guarantee them new research funds and much needed publicity. 

Perhaps all those sea creature reports from the past were the last vestiges of a population of creatures now extinct. We have no way of knowing because, despite official reports of such creatures from the British Royal Navy and others, no scientist has bothered to collect the data and study it and draw conclusions. 

It is very sad to think that the ‘sea monsters’ of old may no longer be with us. Like species of land animals now gone, we had our chance to study them but on;ly bemoaned the fact that we did not after they were gone.

No New Updates. Project Will Now Be Private

 Last night the wildlife and cats returned. Nothing unusual was picked up by either of my cameras.

There was no interest shownon the AOP Face Book group and none here, therefore I have decided that anything recorded in the future will be part of a private project.

The lack of interest is astounding at times.

I'm Not Surprised

 Based on my promise of strict anonimity a person who was very active in "New Ufology" in the late 1970s/1980s in the UK offered up some information -all checkable by me.

Firstly, he name ufologists who were involved in the APEN (Aerial Phenomena Enquiry Network) hoaxing (google it). There were no surprises as all but one was already known to me and in a file held by my solicitors in case it was ever needed.

Secondly, something that I suspected fort a long time. Reports by Northern UK based ufologists were often made up or twisted and added to UFO sighting reports. Also, some of those involved in UFO investigations were "unstable at best" and added a lot of imagined incidents or incidents that could be easily explained to their reports.

The sad thing about all of this is that I do not care. I found out things over 30 years or more ago and adjusted files and so on back then. I have examples of documents faked by certain ufologists and much more.  

My research is based on research that means double, triple and quadruple checking of sources and not relying on something from the internet. I was not, as I explained beforwe, surprised when I was told that reports from "black" observers tended to be disregarded. Nor was I surprised that observer(s) reporting UFOs on more than one occasion were listed as "cranks".

Ufology never really had any scientific approach in the UK. The same can be said of the USA despite attempts made there.

Euporia 1973 -multiple witnesses (two groups) of a low level and one landed object on a US highway. Disregarded because the witnesses were "black". 

Australian Scientists find no evidence of alien life...in a pointless search

Australian astronomers who used a powerful telescope to explore the constellations said they found no signs of alien technology in a patch of space known to include 10 million stars.

The researchers used the Murchison Widefield Array (MWA) telescope to explore "more than 100 times broader and deeper than ever before" of the sky around the Vela constellation.

The study, published by Publications of the Astronomical Society of Australia, explained how the scientists searched for powerful radio emissions at frequencies that could indicate the presence of an intelligent source.

CSIRO astronomer Dr Cenoa Tremblay who carried out the study in the outback of western Australia, explained that such frequencies are known as 'technosignatures'.

“The MWA is a unique telescope, with an extraordinarily wide field-of-view that allows us to observe millions of stars simultaneously,” said Dr Tremblay.

“We observed the sky around the constellation of Vela for 17 hours, looking more than 100 times broader and deeper than ever before.

“With this dataset, we found no technosignatures—no sign of intelligent life.”

Professor Steven Tingay, from the Curtin University node of the International Centre for Radio Astronomy Research (ICRAR), also took part in the research.

He said despite the broad nature of the search, he was not surprised by the results.

“As Douglas Adams noted in The Hitchhikers Guide to the Galaxy, ‘space is big, really big’," said Dr Tingay.

“And even though this was a really big study, the amount of space we looked at was the equivalent of trying to find something in the Earth’s oceans but only searching a volume of water equivalent to a large backyard swimming pool.

“Since we can’t really assume how possible alien civilisations might utilise technology, we need to search in many different ways. Using radio telescopes, we can explore an eight-dimensional search space.

“Although there is a long way to go in the search for extraterrestrial intelligence, telescopes such as the MWA will continue to push the limits—we have to keep looking.”

The scientists hope to next use the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) telescope for their studies. The SKA is 50 times more sensitive than the MWA.

“Due to the increased sensitivity, the SKA low-frequency telescope to be built in Western Australia will be capable of detecting Earth-like radio signals from relatively nearby planetary systems,” said Professor Tingay.

“With the SKA, we’ll be able to survey billions of star systems, seeking technosignatures in an astronomical ocean of other worlds.”

The MWA is located at the Murchison Radio-astronomy Observatory, a remote and radio quiet astronomical facility established and maintained by CSIRO - Australia’s national science agency.

I was asked by someone how I had managed to do a whole chapter on CE3K/AE cases in Germany in Contact? "Hasn't there only been about two?"

Right. I have been doing this over 40 years and at one time Ufology was quite active and wewere all exchanging letters and magazines as well as reports. So I have a lot. Luckily some saved to disc because originals were destroyed.

Translation was traumatic at best as I'm not a professional translator. However, I contacted the Gesellschaft zur Erforschung des UFO-Phänomens (GEP), MUFON (CES) and so on and I asked
 questions about cases -no responses. I askesd, as the cases were to be credited to them, whether they
 could double-check my translation since some of the technical words were hard to translate into
 English 
-no responses.

In the end it took a month before I was absolutely satisfied with the translations and that I had all the
 details. Some of the cases were incredible and some involved multi witnesses (if only to a "UFO"). Put 
all of this together with the report illustrations and you have the definitive listing of German CE3K/AE reports.

With Belgium and France I was lucky to get in touch with some old timers, many not using the internet. So
a lot of new material came from those sources.

It is not just a case of "writing a book" but doing all the research and other work.

The Search for Extra Terrestrial Intelligence (SETI) The real SETI may already have established the there is alien life –and it has been visiting Earth for at least 70 years.

 Once the mass of reports of Close Encounters of the Third Kind and entity encounters are sifted there remains a strong core of cases that defy logical explanation and suggest that these encounters have resulted in physiological effects and post traumatic stress.

 Terry Hooper-Scarf of the CE3K/AE Project has led research into these reports for over 40 years and in this work takes a look at rare or obscure reports as well as cataloguing encounters from Germany and Portugal and focuses in on correlations in the reports and how the Dandenong (Kelly Cahill) encounter could be the best case ever reported.

 Have the serious investigators and researchers looking into UFOs been unearthing better evidence of extra terrestrial life and contact with humans than established SETI ?
