Rockets, Balloons and Chasing UFOs

Here's a funny story. Well, not that funny really. Back when the AOP Bureau wanted to carry out more field research there was a brilliant idea for getting first had UFO data.

Around the UK, but based mainly ion the North of England for launches, are a large number of rocket enthusiasts. They design and build and launch their own small rockets -a couple I had chatted to were very interested in the subject of UFOs.  What I suggested to the people offering limited funding was this: if UFO activity peaked in certain areas we could use one of the amateur rocketmen to send up a rocket close to an observed UFO. The rocket head would have a pack to gather technical information from the said UFO.

Great idea I was told. However, it seemed that those involved just wanted to come up with any excuse not to fund the project. The data pack would costr £75-80 which in the early 1980s was a chunk of cash. The rocketmen involved would need payment to fuel their rockets as well as adapt the rocket-head for the data pack.  However, I cornered the money people but then one stated that therte would be too much red tape and there might be a safety issue -what if one of "our" rockets hit and aircraft? Feet dug in. Purses sealed shut.

I then tried Plan B. In this case "B" stood for Balloon. Same scenario but this time data packs would be sent up into the vicinity of a UFO. Tethered or untethered would be possible and we ought to get some data back. There was no objection until one noted person associated with the then Royal Observer Corps suggested that there might be security issues but it was pointed oput that local official bodies would be alerted to the possibility of balloon launches. The fella agreed that this sounded okay.

However, again, someone seated in an armchair scribbling down figures asked how much each balloon would cost to send up and how many balloons and how often. Being cautious I suggested only one balloon at a time. lots of chatting about possibly losing a balloon, safety issues and much more and then: "Best to stick to just observerving and recording on camera".

I had no say in the subject.

Rather like using a radio network to monitor a suspected UFO flight path it was another dead end.

Today there is much more air traffic and security concerns, however, with drones the idea of close fly-bys of observed aerial phenomenon by drones with data packages is a possible way to go epecially in more remote areas. The data packages back in t6he early 1980s were bulky but with today's technology they would be smaller and able to do far more.

Sadly, the one problem always faced by the AOP Bureau was finance. When the "governing committee" were gone the expenses had to come out of my pocket and my pockets were very shallow and had big holes in them!

Strange bogeyman terrifies British family

No names, no locations and no dates and "British family" that "just" moved to the UK -very likely a fake story:

Some time after moving to the UK, several members of a family experienced a scary night. In this new place, they began to feel the presence of an unknown force within them.

The 40-year-old father went on to explain that he was skeptical of the paranormal until recently. Only her son could also see something creep into the darkness and join them.

Until recently, everything was going well for them. They now live in a rather pleasant neighborhood that is ideal for a family. It all started on the first night they spent in their new home.

The father explained that in the dark of the night he noticed what looked like a tall man standing by his wife's bed. Whatever this creature may have been, she then began to stare at them.

It wasn't a dream, it was real. At first he thought someone had broken into their house. Oddly enough, he just stared at the figure for a moment in utter confusion. He estimated that several minutes had passed before the figure disappeared.

The man also said footsteps could be heard around the house. He saw several mysterious shadows enter the bedrooms of their house. In an attempt to explain these phenomena, he conducted his investigation. He explained that whenever he noticed them, these beings disappeared soon after. The last time he noticed one he thought it was his wife who had followed him downstairs. Only, when he turned around, there was nothing and nobody.

One wonders if this man is overworked or has hallucinated. He went on to say that since these phenomena happened, there hasn't been much thought about it. Maybe it was his imagination, or at least that's what he wanted to believe.

Recently, while in his room, his son ran in. The latter told him that he had noticed what looked like a large " monster " with long fingernails on his hands and feet. He had a long tongue and was literally trying to " taste " it.

It was the first time her son had mentioned anything like this. Her son had never been afraid of something like this before. But since that incident, things have changed.

What really made him doubt was that his son had described in detail what he himself had seen. The father had never said a word of what he had seen to his family or to anyone else.

He had heard a knock on his bedroom door. The door opened and there was no one else, not even on the second floor of the house. He then shared his experience on the internet by asking if anyone else had experienced something like this before?

A Cro-Magnon man seen in Oklahoma in 2013?

I say nothing but note this report is from the Bigfoot Field Researchers Organisation (BFRO) which was exposed for faking reports: https://activite-paranormale.blogspot.com/2019/12/un-homme-de-cro-magnon-observe-dans.html

Cromagnon (which makes no sense especially geographically)  or Sasquatch?

A woman in Oklahoma says she and her family saw a bipedal creature in Cleveland County.

The woman, who refused to provide an exact location of the alleged incident, recently told the BFRO that they were driving on a dirt road near their property when they spotted the creature in the early evening of the Fall of 2013.

“We stopped at the mailbox and started talking to my husband. My oldest song started mumbling something and when I look back at him he is pointing at something. I looked and didn’t see anything at first. My husband was looking as well but couldn’t see anything,” said the woman.

Suddenly, she adds, she spotted the creature.

“I couldn’t speak. I was slapping my husband’s arm and pointing at the thing. It was across the road on the other side of the creek. On the right there was an open pasture with cattle. It stood by the fence,” she explained.

Reportedly, the animal then looked at the truck and the woman, who was the driver at the time, took off.

“My son yelled to go back. I put the truck in reverse but the thing was gone by then. It didn’t appear to be scared of us it was more of an uh oh moment. When it turned towards our truck and saw us it froze. I didn’t move at all once it saw the truck. It was gone in seconds. When we rolled the windows down it was creepy quiet. “

The eyewitness described it as a huge “smoky black” being without snout and a flat face with “very long arms”.

“It had a flat face with a rounded head but a pronounced brow like a Cro-Magnon man. It was about 8 to 9 feet tall. Its waist was standing by the 5 feet fence.”

The woman added that she and her family know the local wildlife and that this wasn’t a deer or a bear.

“We are in a secluded area an we all stay to ourselves out here. We don’t talk about this to anyone and this is the first time we have shared our story. My whole little family saw this thing. So we have four people who now believe this thing is real,” she said.
